Anyone raised during the 1980s belongs to perhaps the first real generation introduced to multimedia in a primitive form compared to that of the modern era (better known as The Information Age), and this "mini album" sets out to represent just how much of that data such people have retained after three decades of life experience. What was once direct, received and processed with clarity by innocent minds is now vaguely recalled through a distorted fog, like faded childhood snapshots.

To this end, DOGMA returned to perhaps its second most common source of reference: advertising. Indeed, the sounds on Your Purpose is Breath were almost entirely sampled from vintage television commercials, so we're sure a handful of fragments may therefore be familiar. If that is the case, please consider our mission well and truly accomplished. Happy memories... UN-happy memories? By the closing trilogy of ambient yet increasingly disturbing selections, we can't be sure how you'll feel!
